Coordinating Committee

The Coordinating Committee for the Housing Advice Centre is the legal authority and governance body for the Housing Advice Centre.  Coordinating Committee members are public trustees who represent the interests of the Centre’s clients, volunteers and the wider community.


Peter Grey – Chairperson

Mana Whaikaha

Peter’s background is extensively involved around community development and working in the health and disability, government, and community service sectors. He currently holds a role as a Community Development Advisor in the Mana Whaikaha – Enabling Good Lives prototype in the disability sector, and prior to that he held the Community Development Team Leader role at Palmerston North City Council.

During his time in that role, he project-led several significant initiatives including: the development of Hancock Community House, the establishment of Refugee Resettlement and Welcoming Communities programmes, and managing the Council’s resourcing aimed at supporting community-based services, initiatives, and activities including the Council’s Social Housing provision. He brings to HAC a wide knowledge of the community sector in Palmerston North and the wider region.
